WBL.001 - Customer Assistant

WAMGROUP, founded in 1968 in Italy, is the market & world leader in the development & production of equipment and industrial components for bulk solids handling and processing. Since 1995, WAM Belgium has been responsible for the sales and distribution of WAMGROUP products in Belgium & Luxembourg. From the brand-new location in Erpe-Mere, some eight employees work every day to support the extensive customer base in sectors such as Plants & Machinery, Concrete Sector, Water Treatment Sector, Food & Feed Sector. Customer focus, right value for money & full service are values that the employees hold dear. To strengthen our organization and consolidate our expansion, we are looking for a Customer Assistant with a strong interest in and affinity with engineering.

Your function :
  • Your main task will be to support our external sales team by:
    • In consultation with the Sales Engineer, selecting the right materials. Once the solution is clear, you calculate the prices in the ERP system and work out the quotation.
    • Contacting our headquarters product specialists in case more details are required.
    • Answering a part of the telephone calls and providing the customer with the right solution.
    • Pass on orders to our factories and follow up.
    • You will receive training from fellow experts who will familiarize you with the products and working methods on the field.
Your profile :
  • You preferably hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience and show a keen interest in engineering. School leavers with a 'Technical' Bachelor or Master's degree are also eligible.
  • You express yourself fluently in Dutch and French, knowledge of English is a plus. You enjoy building relationships with customers and colleagues in a smooth way.
  • If you have experience in bulk handling installations, air technology and/or dedusting, this is considered an asset.
  • You are customer-friendly and empathetic by nature and your communication style can adapt to different types of customer contacts.
  • You are used to work in an ERP system and you are fluent in current office applications.
  • You enjoy working in a small team where the spirit is 'to achieve the objectives together'.
